Rated 4 out of 5 by from Design Issue With Latch The tool handles and cuts well as expected from a Stanley product. The latch is very awkward to use. I would recommend placing the latch back on the outside where it was before.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Tool This tool was sharp and worked very well for my purpose. I don't expect it to last forever as I would a higher quality, more expensive brand. It serves my purpose as a homeowner and worker better than I expected. In summary it was better quality than I expected, I was pleasantly surprised. Recommended for occasional use!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I’ve had (and still have) better I previously bought a pair of straight snips (some off-brand?) from somewhere else. I have had my off-brand straight snips for 3 years with very consistent use and abuse. Since I had a new DIY project that was gonna require smooth/clean snips on 16 guage metal sheets, I figured I should get a new pair of snips. So I bought these Stanley straight snips from Lowes about 2 months ago and thought they would cut even smoother/better than my first, cheaper off-brand pair. At first, no issues. Was able to handle/complete the project fine. However, after 2 months of less-than-moderate use, the center metal piece that locks/holds the snips doesnt latch anymore, and the thin 16-guage sheet metal pieces I tried cutting earlier today were very difficult to cut. 2-3 times the snip cuts with the Stanley’s would just contort (bend) and just pressed ridged grooves. After a few attempts it would just sort of cut from the bending and hang on but a piece. Eventually, I decided to restart the same piece, but used my off-brand snips...which snipped like butter compared to these Stanley snips... Attached are photos of the stanley snips. Looks great, but a real bummer that the latch broke, the snips do not cut as well, and not durable. Hope this helps.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Snips Snips worked great on the aluminum flashing I was using to make a splash skirt on a 1967 camper rebuild I am working on. They were sharp and easy to use. Didn't make the metal curl like some shears do. And reasonably priced. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product These snips cut with ease when cutting metal studs it takes a lot less effort than the older snips Stanley used to make. I would recommend these if you have a lot of metal studs to cut and you aren’t using a metal saw [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Stanley FATMAX 2-in 60CrV Snips The Stanley tin-snips are as good as any I've used. The price is good. I particularly like the grip design, as it gives good control as the snips are guided along the pattern lines. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best snips I’ve ever owned. I’ve bought a lot of snips over the years, they always dull or break and these just keep going. I’ve had them for 2+ years now and they still cut anything I put in front of them. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
