Where are Briggs and Stratton snowblowers made?

. B&S has a list of engines not built in the US, and the 1450 is not on that list. It is made in the US.

Which fuel is using

Asked by: Jaskaran
You have to be careful with Premium gasoline as some brands are now using ethanol in them. Check with your local gas stations to make sure that thier premium gas is ethanol free or you will run into carburator problems.

Snowblower - 2 Stages - 306cc- 30" - Grey is rated 3.2 out of 5 by 11.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Machine has quality parts... Overall the parts in this machine are second to few (maybe a much higher priced Ariens). The issue lies in manufacturing, customer care and customer support. The machine I got was improperly setup from the factory with incorrect belt gaps and gearing adjustments. This actually has caused a lot of pre mature wear on the auger and drive belts. Customer service is completely non existant. They don’t know their product at all. After some tinkering and adjustment done by me (which should be completely unnecessary) it runs quite well now. I’m not dissappointed with the end product, just the manufacturer. Shame on you Briggs&Stratton.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Drive slips and burns through shear pins I bought this snowblower around Christmas on the Briggs and Stratton name. The engine is living up to expectations, but the drivetrain is lacklustre. I have gone through a shear pin every other snowfall. Always the same one. The worst is the drive. I’ve had to tighten the cable each time I go out. About half way through a run, the machine will stop propelling itself forward. Once I tighten the cable, all is well until the next snowfall. I don’t have much left on the turnbuckle so I’ll have to shorten the cable before next season. The engine and snowthrowing capabilities are great, but I can’t get through a single snowfall without some sort of maintenance.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I have this machine. Bought mine at Lowes in London 2015. Shortly after buying it the price was reduced twice so I was able to collect some money back so keep checking the price online. Next, this Briggs & Stratton is a duplicate of the Simplicity snowblower also made by Briggs and sold at a much higher price. The parts list is exactly the same, the auger housing supports are different. Other than that it's black and Simplicity is orange. I haven't used the electric start yet since the pull start has always worked well. The machine at full engine speed rattles like crazy at the chute and intake housing so make sure you do check and tighten bolts and nuts. Once you load some snow it stops vibrating. My 2015 model has the electric motor to turn the chute and adjust the up and down on the chute. You will miss that feature but I can see for the 2017 model it is not included. Probably due to the switches failing but taking the switch apart and bending the contacts always fixed the problem and saved me $50 for the part. Very powerful and the HP is somewhere between 13.5 and 15. I'm thinking 15 hp comparing it to my previous 12 hp this machine is much stronger. Noise level is actually about 1/2 of what my last machine was and it had the B&G engine. The transmission is the sweetest part of this machine and makes operating and turns so much better than the disk on disk systems. Just make sure you run it dry in the spring and put in a gas fresher fluid. Wash the machine and spray it with rust proofing oil, I use lithium spray to prevent the auger and impeller from rusting. I spray lithium in that area throughout the winter as well.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Self-Propelled feature lasted 1 hour first time us Took all the plastic wrap, price tag, instruction manuals off yesterday, added oil and gas and started it up for our first snow in the past 2 months since purchase. Great for first hour then the self-propelled feature quit. The beast is too heavy to push through 6 inches of snow (or 12 inch snowdrift) without self-propel feature. Still under 3 month warranty but will call store to see if easy fix. Was hoping to get more work done on the driveway and sidewalk and help out neighbours yesterday. What a huge disappointment.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from DO NOT BUY!!!!!! I bought this snowblower less than a year ago from lowes barrie and I am sending it in for the second repair. It has been defective since the day I bought it. Will not go in to gear now

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Two years old and will not start I purchased this snowblower mainly because of the name. I doubt that it has twenty hours on it. I think I can remember filling the gas tank three times and now I get it out for the winter and try and start it and no matter what I do this puppy will not start. So I now have to pay $150.00 service fee to have a guy come and look at it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Strong power house blower Great product. Suggest commercial use mostly in large areas.a little two big for every day use around tight areas in residential housing. Product has every option and starts right up . If you are breaking 15 inches of fresh snow this is the machine that will do it with no problem. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
