Chainsaw Gas 435 - 16'' - 40.9 cc - is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 88.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from good little saw I have been running this saw on mesquite for nine years with no more than performing preventive maintenance on it. I wish the oiler put out a touch more oil, but it doesn't burn the bar up. I've only replaced the bar once when it finally grooved enough to start kicking the chain off. Great little saw that doesn't wear me out after running it all day like my big Stihl does. As for the complaint review for his saw not starting, if you do not follow Husky's starting procedure, it will flood instantly. If there is a legitimate complaint, Husky will fix your saw, read the manual instead of just saying you know how to start a chainsaw.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Husqvarna 435e chainsaw - working just fine No complaints so far (haven't had it very long). Followed starting instructions and it started right up. Used it to cut up a large windfall bradford pear and it worked just fine. Light weight enough to move around a lot doing the limbing (always the most tiring part) and it went right through 8-10 inch main trunk. All in all good power for the weight. I've been happy with my orange weed eater & leaf blower so I'm hoping for the same w/ the chainsaw. Using Sta-bil and hopefully it will continue to perform well. 4 stars because it doesn't come with a case or even a permanant bar/chain cover. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Purchased to cut tree after Heavy Wind Storm I purchased this saw and also purchased the pre mix gas, got it home and gassed it up? It would not start !! Start to kick over and then die. After about an hour of trying and sweating in 30 degree weather, I called the 800 number due to it said don't call Lowes, the girl on the other end of the phone suggested I take it to a local service person and have them adjust the carburetor? I bought this so I could get my tree cut up and not to drive all over to get adjusted !! I then told her thanks for her help. I boxed it up and took back to Lowes and went to my local Power Equipment store on which I should have in the first place !! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Junk I bought one of these 3 years ago. It's been in the shop 3 times for carburetor problems. I always use the expensive premix fuel because it won't start at all with gasoline/oil mix. It is still very hard to start and keep running. I take it to the shop and they keep it for a week or two and it will start and run good for a while then gradually goes down hill. Luckly I have a 15 year old Poland wood shark for a back up that has NEVER faild to start and run perfect. I'm in southeast Louisiana with a Hurricane coming through and (you guessed it) SAW WON"T START

Rated 5 out of 5 by from awesome saw i have been using this saw for several years now, pretty regular use each fall and winter. It is performing as good as it did brand new. It is light enough to use all day and not get too fatigued.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great powerful small saw I love using this saw instead of my heavier 20" and 24" saws when I can it cuts great and doesn't wear you out like a big saw does and the power is great for cutting

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best saw I've ever used I'm 62 year old and have used most every saw that's ever been made . This has to be the best saw that I have ever used. I just cut up a 30' 12" oak today with no problems and didn't even use a tank of gas!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great .... Until .... I bought my 435 at a "tire" store and it worked beautifully until a backfire caused the built in flywheel key to brake off.....a very poor feature...I have fixed a number of old chainsaws including German , Japanese etc etc but my 435 seems unfixable..... The same goes for my 235..... I also have a 240 from Ottawa Fasteners in Bells Corners ( Ottawa ) which I don't want to even start.... That flywheel with its own built in key is a big mistake. Would you like to give me a free flywheel for my 235 and 435 to see if it might change my attitude about HUSQVARNA ?????
