Rated 1 out of 5 by from Blade Broke In One Week I work at a sawmill and measure lumber several times a day. I normally purchase the Stanley FatMax but figured I would give this tape a try. The package said it has extra blade protection and was the strongest blade of all Craftsman tape measures. Three days after first use the blade warped, making it useless to measure length. Two days after that, the blade broke at the 3 inch mark and totally useless. I will be returning this to the store for a refund and have already purchased a new Stanley. Rated 4 out of 5 by from Neighbor Joe Review As far as tape measure go, you can't go wrong with this new Craftsman. First, it looks a lot like the made in USA Stanley tape measure. Almost identical. Likely made in the same plant at New Britain CT. In fact, I did not see any Stanley measures at Lowes on display this year, hence it's likely the Stanley production line was retooled to make Craftman brand. It's probable this tape measure is close to the Stanley measure with only slight changes like addition of magnetic feature. Overall, solid plastic housing, broad tape, excellent spring/stop and nice large linear measurement markings. The magnetic feature is a plus. Not a superior product and on par with my 2017 Stanley measure the main difference is the Craftsman has a far better sping and stop. My Stanley sticks at times. For the price and service reliability its a good buy. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Almost had it Craftsman The only problem I have with this particular tape measure is the hook at the end of the tape. When I go to grab the tape to pull it out, it climbs up the face and it becomes flush with the bottom of the tape measure. Making it very annoying and frustrating to use. I'm still very excited to see Craftsman come back to the USA, but this one just fell short of being my favorite tape measure. So fatmax is still my go to brand for now. Just a minor tweak such as a longer hook or a smaller hole for the tape. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst tape I ever bought If you breathe on this tape it folds over like a wet dish rag. Seemed to work fine in the store but on the job it worthless unless you have someone holding the end of it. I bought it thinking “American made quality”. I’ve gone back to my Fat Max and won’t buy craftsman any time soon. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good tape but magnet falls off This is a good tape measure but I bought it because if the magnet. The magnet part clips into the rivets that hold on the hook. I lost my 2nd magnet in 3 months and I don't use the tape measure much.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Strong magnet and sting spring mechanism Very strong tape, I use it every day in commercial construction. I wish they would have put a bigger hook on it but it does the job and the magnet is strong. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very solid feeling tape measure I like the feel of this tape measure, but the tape itself seems to "roll" pretty easy once you start to extend it over 7 or 8 feet. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Ok This tape is ok, I dislike how it bends when you pull it out to do a long read. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
