Rated 1 out of 5 by from HOLE SAW/DOOR KNOB KIT Surprisingly flimsy and cheap for a craftsman product. The only reason i gave it a star is that the guide makes it easy to mark your holes evenly. But even that part was very soft and flexible. Arbor bit snapped 1st time using, drilling through a hollow core door, thats a cheap bit for sure. Dont buy it, not worth the price [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Chinese plastic junk I hadn't even been drilling the first hole for 30 seconds before the drill-blade suddenly jerked and broke one of the spacing tabs. I thought I would still be able to use the jig as a template if I exercised extra caution but when I drilled through the other side, the hole was misaligned. A second attempt was made higher up but, AGAIN, misaligned. I even measured twice before drilling but the Chinese plastic was determined to fail. Trying to decide whether to drill 3rd hole free-style or buy new door. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worthlessness I've been doing construction all my life and am very knowledgeable and experienced. It's Flimsy, cheaply made, plastic bends easily causing alignment to happen, if you use this might need to replace door. We tried on a piece of old door prior to using due to the reviews and it definitely misaligned and we were not able to make it work. So think twice and look for a solid metal door hole saw or a truely solid plastic that does not bend under pressure. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Holesaw would not drill through the metal door!!! Everything was going fine until i started to drill the first hole. the hole saw was against the door just smoking and trying to burn thru the door rather than cutting thru. the bit had gotten so hot it was melting the jig. so i had to drill some small pilot holes all the way around where the bit was supposed to be cutting just to give the bit something to grab hold of and even then i had to apply so much pressure it was still just burning thru. very good idea very bad hole saw !!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Good idea but absolutely abysmal implementation Flimsy plastic parts. One of the two plastic tabs that fix the set-back (2 3/8 or 2 3/4 inch) snapped off the first time I placed the jig on the door. All of the holes were then in the wrong positions - even the hole for the bolt was not centered properly on the door edge. I jammed the tab into its the correct position, but the hole positions were still off. I ended up positioning the holes the old-fashioned way, with ruler and T-square. The guides that position the face bore holes did not press flat against my door (which was of standard width). Forcing them flat moved the hole center 1/4 inch. The router guide is simply a joke. The hole saws are the only part that work correctly. However, if drilling into a metal-sheathed wood door, as in my case, the 2 1/8 inch hole saw ends up jammed so firmly onto the arbor that it is virtually impossible to remove. It's hard to believe that the once-renowned Craftsman quality has sunk so low.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor quality I love craftsman tools. This one however is horrible. Very poor quality. Does not secure to the door in any way. Ive been doing home remodel and repair work a long time and I would never use this product again. The quality of the bits was fantastic though. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So helpful This product was incredibly helpful when we needed to cut a door handle hole in our new coat closet door. Made the entire process much easier. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Flimsy The flimsy plastic guide moves around way too much to use and the clearance between the guide and hole saws is way too big. You are better off throwing away the guide and just using the hole saws by hand. I have used other products like this that are much more functional. The only reason I did not give it one star is because the hole saws by themselves work. After boring my three doors the plastic guide is now in the garbage can.
