Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the 20v Li-Ion, especially the Impact Driver I've owned a DW 20v Li-Ion drill for over a year, but recently had it stolen on a job site. This was my opportunity to replace it at a good price and get the little Impact Driver I'd been wanting to try at the same time. They are both great tools and this was a great buy. My only constructive criticism of the DW 29v Li-Ion DRILL (not the driver) is that the LED light doesn't shine in the right spot to truly see the screw head or drill bit you are using. It gives light to the general area where working, but not on the precise location where you need it. DW designers should take a look at the RIGID products and to see how it SHOULD be done.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from It's OK, but does not live up to Dewalt Rep I really like the size and fit of these drills, however, be aware, these are not 100% Dewalt Quality. Keep your receipts and register your warranty! You will have to go to a Dewalt facility of your warranty. I have had issues with the batteries, the charger, the triggers, etc. After 5 warranty claims (within the first few months), Dewalt finally said they were not going to replace anything else. Batteries would be fine and then one day not charge, charger was replaced, and then have to be replaced again. Within just a few weeks, the triggers went out on both drills. When they work, they are nice, but they have left me stranded and running back to my old cord drill a few times.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Battery do not take a charge On Christmas Eve today, I was deciding between the DEWALT or Porter Cable. I wanted the DEWALT but had lots of reservation due to online reviews that folks were having problems with the battery. I decided to go ahead and get the DEWALT hoping the battery issue is either a luck of the draw or something DEWALT would have resolved by now. To my disappointment, after going home to test this combo kit, I found one of the two batteries will not take a charge and simply won't power any of the tools. Indeed very disappointed. Should have listened to the online reviews about the bad battery issue.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from not so sure I've worked all my life as an electrician and I can tell you we use battery drills a lot! I have used this drill lately and can honestly say it does NOT measure up to the older 12 and 18 volt standard battery drills from back years ago. this thing seems strong on a new freshly charged battery but use it a few times under load and it simply dies! I don't remember my old 18volt regular battery drill acting this way. that thing was a beast. I cant tell you how many times I dropped it off a 10 + ft ladder and it kept going. not to mention using it all day long putting on receptacles drilling holes in wood, steel, plastic you name it. so yea this new 20volt job is real pretty and light weight but it just don't seem to have the power it needs for working professionals.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost Perfect I am almost completely satisfied. Dewalt still makes a superior product and has not let quality slip at the expense of its dedicated customers, like so many other big name brands. Lowe's online purchasing was very efficient in all aspects. The only bummer part is there is only one belt clip for 2 tools? Am I suppose to share the clip? I dont think so. It seems kind of cheap on Dewalts end to not have 2 clips. Either supply 2 or none is my opinion. I know there is a price point for everything but I would gladly pay the little extra to have the 2 clips. Maybe I'm wrong but it just leaves a bit of a burn.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Dewalt does not honor warrenties I had the drill just over a year and the motor burned up. Just screwing into 2 x 4s. Dewalt would not honor warranty saying that that was wear and tear. You have to ship drill to their out of state site then they tell you burnt motors are not covered. Read reviews on line.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Drill bits get loose Every major tool I own is a DeWalt. Bought this set for the impact driver and its worked great but as for the drill, it seems the chuck opens up after several holes and the drill bit comes out, thus having re-insert and tighten the chuck once more. Very annoying. Anyone else have this problem or is there something in the user manual to remedy this problem?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lightweight and strong i purchased the 20 volt impact to replace my aging 14.4 volt Dewaly impact. The 20 volt is much lighter and stronger. My most recent project was a deck add on, the 20 volt handled 3" deck screws with ease, and the compact size allowed me to gain access to some very tight areas. This tool is a keeper!!
