Electric VSR Drill - 3/8" - 7 A is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 70.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from 8-Amp 3/8-in Drill Kit with Case First of all, it did not come with a case, but rather a cloth bag which is OK because I didn't care about any kind of case anyway. All I was really looking for was a variable speed drill (VSR) that I didn't have to worry about a battery crapping out when I need it most. As it turns out, this drill has all the power and speed I was looking for and really feels and handles great, but... as far as the variable speed goes, the trigger button needs some work as it causes the drill to go from 0 - Max very easily with very little variation in-between.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great drill for the money. I bought this drill a bit over 2 years ago. I still love it and would love another. I have only used it on rough carpentry projects because I have a cordless version. I think that the variable speed can be a bit touchey but other than that I think that it is great. As far as I'm concered I could run it over with my truck and it would still work. Overall I would deffinately reccomend this to a friend.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Mr This has high rpm with very quick trigger and when holding the chuck, your hands can get used heavily. the chick has a two click tightening and done. most people will try to hold the chuck til the drill spins out of their hands, but not necessary. if the entering drill bit shaft is not at least in the ball-park round, or you do not take care with mounting in the chuck, yes, I can see to where a chuck might be broken. This is a great drill for a paint stir or wire brush attachment. However you have to keep holding the tigger as far as I can tell. This high rpm is to fast for ordinary drill bits and screws. You must learn to start slow and use good materials. This is a power drill, battery drills have their place and you should have one of each. The case could be much better but better than nothing.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Can't grip small drill bits; slips on large This drill has a poor chuck. It cannot grip drill bits smaller than #40 (3/32"), nor does it grip larger drill bits sufficiently to drill in metal.... It keeps slipping and cannot be made tighter. I fabricate electrical panels drilling and tapping a lot of 16 and 18 gauge sub-panels and the chuck slips on the #29 tap-drill for 8-32 screws. It also slips on 1/4" and 3/8" drill bits when drilling sheet metal. It is impossible to use when drilling 3/8" or thicker aluminum stock.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I bought it for light use, random around the house jobs. I started by drilling 1-1/4in holes through 4 inches through wood, and it was very powerful and worked like a charm. Had to return it though because the variable speed is poor under pressure. Once there is tension on it, it won't move for a second, then it starts up way to fast for starting screws. I got tired of playing with it after a while and decided I might as well try a new drill instead of making this one work.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Purchase I wanted an electrical drill that I didn't have to constantly worry about battery care, just plug it in and get to the task at hand. This is a high powered drill, no messing around, it's keyless, don't have to worry about hunting for the key, comes with a very nice case, I'm very impressed. I have about 5-6 drills of all types, this is the best by far, has allot of torque.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Drill I bought one for my son 2 years ago and loved it. A reliable drill is essential to me when constructing BBQ's from 55 gal barrels. I finally had my fill of messing with cheap cordless units that loose charge in 5 minutes. Good value. Great product. Shipped and arrived as promised.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great drill! This is a drill made to last, I love the keyless chuck it makes changing bits easy. The drill also has a lot of power to handle just about any task, this is an excellent drill for the price.
