This Husqvarna ST 227 snowblower is a great choice for occasional snow removal from 4 inches to 12 inches (10 cm to 30 cm). It has a two-stage 254 cc motor, six forward speeds, one reverse speed, and a friction-disc transmission for smooth and powerful operation. The electric-start snow thrower has adjustable skid shoes that work on any type of surface. The handle is height adjustable and the grips are heated for comfortable use.

Gas Two-Stage Snowblower - ST 227 - 254 CC - 27" is rated 3.7 out of 5 by 83.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Back Saver!!! Because of health issues my husband was not able to do snow removal. We researched 2 stage snow throwers and chose this one. What a lifesaver and back saver! The handles adjustable for my height and the controls super easy to use. It started up right away and didn't smell bad like our other small snow thrower. Turning at the end of the driveway was a breeze with the power steering feature. Did I mention that my hands stayed warm through this -24 degree snow removal? Handles are heated what a joy. And the headlights are fantastic could see everything in front of me clearly! I would recommend this to anyone. Bonus that it was so easy to use for a woman!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very happy with purchase We purchased this snow blower in October 2014 after debating between brand, size and engine size. So happy we chose this snow blower. The controls are easy to use, designed for one hand use. The lights are bright as well, which helps in the dark winter. I live south of Buffalo, NY and we just got nearly 6 feet of snow in two days. We have cleared the driveway four times in two days and the machine has not gotten clogged once!! My neighbor got a friend to help clear his driveway. They were using two small snow blowers to clear the driveway. I went out around the same time and cleared my driveway faster with just this one snow blower!! LOVE this snow blower!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Big Orange Monster I purchased the Husky 254cc snowblower as a replacement to a Craftsman I had for over 8 years. I did a lot of research and what impressed me with the husky was all of the standard features such as power steering, heated grips, LED lighting and an all metal chute design. I have used the Husky 4 times now and it really is nice to use. The deepest snow it has conquered has been 12-14 inches. So far, I have not had the shoot clog and it throws snow very far. The heated grips have little effect but since I wear gloves i wouldn't notice them much anyway. I have read some negative reviews on other websites but I haven't experienced any problems mentioned on those sites. My machine has worked flawlessly and I recommend it!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Beware I have owned this blower for 4 years, the cost of repairs is closing in around $600.00 and the first snow this year it failed again. It now appears the plastic retainer for the gear shift has snapped....I am again without a blower and need to replace the control panel. I have noticed that almost all of the cable retainers are plastic, when it gets cold and you use the shift the retainer snaps and renders the blower useless. It is really unfortunate but as stated be aware, save yourself the aggravation and shop around don't end like myself with a $1400.00 garage ornament.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Garbage I purchased in October 2014. This is my third winter with the machine and I've had nothing but problems. Goes through auger belts like crazy and this winter auger bearing failed and caused major damage to the machine. Please note, I am extremely careful with my machine and meticulous when it comes to maintaining it. Many others have reported similar problems and Husqvarna has done nothing to remedy it. See this forum: and Last snow blower was an Ariens that I had for roughly 30 years. Only reason I gave it up is a friend needed one and I just wanted a new one (what a mistake). DO NOT BUY!!!!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This Husqvarna Is A Beast Okay... Got the 27" Husqvarna Snow Blower back around Thanksgiving 2015... Received it fully assembled, Oil in the engine, no gas... I put it in my shed and didn't put gas in until yesterday afternoon... Okay, here comes the blizzard called Jonas. Jonas left 20" of snow ion Islip, Long Island New York... Put the gas in, hit the start button and it powered right up... Used it on 2 plus feet of snow in front of my cars on the driveway... No issues, No stalls, threw the snow like a champ... I'm very happy with my purchase...

Rated 2 out of 5 by from When it doesn't chew up it's own auger belt ... There is a known issue with this model as well as some other Husqvarna snow blowers. Husqvarna has a Service Bulletin on this (supposedly something a homeowner can not repair himself). It chews up it's OWN auger belt so the auger doesn't spin! Great, a product that FAILS you when you need it most - like right after a snowstorm. I'm on my second season with blower and on the first significant accumulation and it fails me halfway through clearing the driveway. By the way, this is the third of four Husqvarna products that I have owned which has been unsatisfactory. Husqvarna is not very forthcoming (they didn't want to share the Service Bulletin - I have to go to the dealer) and have never been too sympathetic about their shoddy products.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from In shop more than snow Purchased from Lowe's in 2016 - a bolt broke/came loose inside the casing that houses the engine and caused lots of damage. Spent a month at Lowe's getting in fixed. Keep in mind this happened in the winter when I needed the blower. We usually get snow end of November through March. So to be without the blower for a whole month was horrible. 2017 - fouling plugs 2018 - transmission starting to slip, start cord broke in 2 spots, starting issues... going to be another winter where it spends a month in the shop :( ... save yourself a back ache and get something else.
