This Husqvarna ST 230P snowblower is a great choice for occasional snow removal from 4 inches to 12 inches (10 cm to 30 cm). It has a two-stage 291 cc motor, six forward speeds, one reverse speed, and a friction-disc transmission for smooth and powerful operation. The electric-start snow thrower has adjustable skid shoes that work on any type of surface. The handle is height adjustable and the grips are heated for comfortable use.

Gas Two-Stage Snowblower - ST 230P - 291 CC - 30" is rated 2.6 out of 5 by 58.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Boy! Did I make a mistake! Bought the ST230P model last season but used it for less than an hour due to little snowfall. Took out of storage this season, started it and pulled the drive lever only to hear a crack. No drive. Looked under the top panel to find the plastic cable guides had broken. Contacted Husqvarna who were less than helpful. As the snow was about to arrive and knowing that it would not be fixed in time, I completed the repairs myself. After investing over $1,300.00 on this machine, I expected far better from Husqvarna. Now, I understand the drive belts are an issue also. Nice looking snow blower but trust me, don't waste your money on this overpriced, poor quality machine!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exceeded my expectations This snow blower far exceeded my expectations! I've had or used numerous snow blowers (top brands# over the past 40 years and the Husqvarna really delivers. I've been in the market for a new one for several years so, I was familiar with the ratings and customer reviews. This machine out performed ANY unit I've used in the past and actually look forward to using it every time it snows. Unit starts on first pull everytime and I have yet to use the electric start. The unit runs true #straight) and the power steering is extremely helpful. During a recent heavy 12" wet snow fall, the unit never bogged down. The only drawback is the reverse is VERY slow and the only con I've found so far.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worked for a week. Heated grips didn't work from day one. The chute had a mind of its own and would swing 45 degrees from play in the cables. Cable adjusters only hold for a couple of uses. After 5days the friction drive started to fail. Wheels just stopped moving after 5 mins of use. Took it back and almost got another one but another customer saw me looking at it and told me not to buy it because he bought the same one last year and it's been in the shop more than his house. I will say it blows snow like nobodies business. My neighbors watched with envy as I blew snow from my neighbors attached driveway over my property and into the other neighbors yard. Throws snow 40ft easy. It's a shame, this could be an awesome blower. Just too many problems.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is what a snow blower should be... I have lived in Northern Michigan nearly all my life and snow removal is an issue here from Nov to May. This unit throws some snow. When the chute is placed in the highest position it throws the snow nearly as high as a telephone pole. It works well in both light and heavy accumulations, 6" to 18" - is easy to handle but could be a little large for folks who are a little lighter in the saddle. It starts easy, runs smooth, and above all moves snow. I would highly recommend this blower to anyone living in snow country.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This snow blower sucks I have had this snow blower for the last two winters and last year I use it once because we had little to no snow in here New York, but when I did use it belts broke.I replaced the belt and never used again all year last year. This year I go to use it and belts broke again. I replaced it and now blower area not working, so I will be taking it to shop and its only been used three times maybe.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from junk I bought this snow blower to upgrade my 24" husky very first time I used it the impeller shaft just stopped working wish I had read the reviews before purchasing as it seems this is a common problem with this machine. At least I was able to return it at my local Lowe's looks like its back to the 24 " for this season. 10 years and still running

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Low End Snowblower Bought this as I was in a bind and this was the biggest one they had left. The handwarmers do not work(I called they said they just don't get very warm), cold is not warm. The chute does not go 190, barely 180 which is useless when snowblowing, also the chute bounces all over the place. 1 reverse gear which is a crawler speed. This is a $600 snowblower not a $1000+. Will be returning.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Think Twice Before Buying This machine throws drive belts off continually. Lowes does not carry the correct replacement size belt. The manual does not cover proper tension adjustment. I believe that the tension pulley and attachment has too much play and the slop allows the belt to be thrown off. After four belts and 18 times putting the belt back on I am now an expert at fixing a Husqvarna. "For Sale"
