Rated 3 out of 5 by from Propane Generator Great generator. Ran for 12 hours and then we were unable to restart. While running, it powered a large side by side fridge and a full size freezer with enough power left over to charge iPads/cell phones. Loved the convenience of propane fuel. The orange cage that sits behind the propane tank would not attach properly, but did not affect the use of the generator. The propane tank sat securely. I loved the ease of maneuverability of the unit. It did seem to run quieter than the gasoline units our neighbors were using. I would have loved to trade for an even exchange, but these units were sold out. I would still recommend this generator and would have loved to give it a second chance.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice propane powered generator Wanted a propane powered generator for camping as well as emergency power for the house. While I wish this had a little more watts, it is a great little unit. I was worried about noise as I've experienced high noise in the past from smaller single cylinder units but this surprised me with how quiet it is comparably. Haven't had it long enough to talk about reliability but I have my fingers crossed that is as good as everything else so far.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Generac 3250 Running-Watts Portable Generator Bought this at Lowe's in anticipation of the next storm after Sandy. Bought it with the 3 year extended warranty. Hey, you never know. Found the directions for the tank assembly bracket to be vague but figured it out after looking at the box photo. Start up was a breeze after following the directions, exactly. Started after 2 choke pulls & then 1 start pull. Runs fairly quiet. Happy with this purchase for the price. Would have bought a larger model of this type if it was available. Hopefully, I won't have to use this come October.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Peace of mind I just got my Generac Generator today. All I can say is WOW. The unit was very easy to set up and the engine is STRONG. I tested it today with the following: I ran (2) refridgerator/freezers, (2) TV's, a box fan and a lamp and the engine never slowed down. The unit is also very quiet. I could hardly hear it from inside the house. Sleeping should not be an issue during a power outage and my neighbors should not complain, other than wishing they had one. I highly recommend this unit. If you have a power outage, it should get you by until the power comes back on. Food will not spoil and you can still have a TV to keep you entertained.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great piece of equipment! We purchased this generator two weeks ago to use with our concession trailer when no power hookups are available. We brought the gennie home and set it up in about half an hour following directions included. Unit cranked and ran without any problems. We took it with us to a 3 day event last weekend. This gennie powered everything in the trailer (grill-air conditioner-fridge-crocks-register-coffee pots) flawlessly. We got alot of compliments on how quiet it was compared to others nearby. A tank of propane powered everything for just over 9 hrs. We went through 2.5 tanks over three days. Small tanks like a grill would use. We also got compliments on the looks of the unit. We are extremely pleased so far with this purchase. This gennie ran with no problems what so ever and we would recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great generator ! great price! I bought this generator first for the name .my dad has had several Generac generators in his life and swears by them. I initially was leary that they were out of my price range but after a little research I realized they weren't priced much different then any other brand. With that being said I was able to power refrigerator well pump lights and tv. All of which made life mich easier for everyone. The unit is small and very easy to use. Assembly was simple and operating the unit was a breeze..customer service is excellent and always able to answer any questions! I highly recommend Generac and I will only buy Generac in the future!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Engine Trouble After 22 months of owning this unit, and about 10 total hours of operation, my generator threw a rod spewing oil and metal parts onto my driveway. I had to drive 20 miles to a shop that would work with Generac's warranty program. (The four shops closer had stopped participating in the program due to low compensation for their work.) Just took it in today, we will see how it all works out. While is was operational, the unit provided power just as expected. Engine had oil (I checked before starting it the final time) and it has a low oil shutdown feature, so even if I hadn't checked, it should never fail due to low oil... Unless it is a one-time use feature.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Beginner Generator Have been eyeing the Generac Generators for a few years now and saw this one returned for half off. Trick is to return it with a bit of oil and it can't be sent back to the manufacture must be sold in store usually half off or more. Starts up with easy, so far so good. 5hrs run time under the belt and going real strong. Still want the big brother the 8k portable one but am debating that or the Champion 9k on sale @ Costco. sooo tough a choice, Quality vs Price. Will try to get a Generator box made for this beauty for the back yard and get an interconnect for electrical box ,next tri fuel adaptor and this prepper will be set.
