Metabo HPT Circular Saw - 7 1/4" - 15 A is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 33.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Features Was surprised to see the additional measuring guides on this saw. They are really a plus. Another great feature is the cord holder. It holds cord away from cutting action. Speed and power are good on this saw. Comes with carbide blade and a great carrying case. The rip guide is an option, so pick one up when you buy saw if you use one. Saw is well built. I really like it. Grips are very user friendly. I like the five year warranty! Rated 5 out of 5 by from Back Yard Pro I bought this to complete a deck in my back yard. I like thst the guide is forged and not cheaper quality stamped metal as it is more rigid and durable. The amperage and rpm was morenthan enough to cut the pressure treated 2X12s. Definitely worth the extra money versus the inexpensive Skil brand saw for a few less coin [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid Worker Well Calibrated This saw appears to be a solid workhorse. Compared it to my old standard (Craftsman Industrial); see photo. This saw is a full 3 pounds lighter (10.0 for the Hitachi vs. 13.1 for the Craftsman), plus adds in a couple amps (15 vs. 13) of power. Tested out a crosscut, and it's dead on the cut line tracking with the saw base notch. Also did a 45 degree miter, and it too was accurate compared to my square. Only minor squawk is that the cord is a bit short (six feet vs. nine). Also would have been nice to have the included 24T blade already loaded, but that was easily fixed. I like the hex key vs. socket wrench approach to clamping the blade. Last little nit is that the plug does not have a notch to clamp on the cord, but overall an outstanding saw that should get plenty of use. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good value This saw did exactly what I needed; I used it to cut surface boards off my deck and then used it to cut 10 ft long 2x8 boards into sections. Once this saw got going it could not be stopped. Plus it comes with a nice bag to keep your saw in for easy travel. The bag also has a slot for a drill which makes it very easy to add on tools. Rated 2 out of 5 by from Alignment not straight. I purchased this saw recently to use for some finishing work with 60T blade. I made some test cuts and the tracking of cutting path was off about 1/32" so it had drag and wouldn't cut square. Very nice saw, cord too short, not straight. Returned and purchased a different brand which I already own others of. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice saw I bought this as a replacement for my old Ryobi. What a difference! This saw is lighter, quieter, smoother, easier to adjust, everything! It cuts smoothly and follows a guide without wandering. It comes with a soft case, which is a benefit, as hard cases take a lot of space. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Saw cannot make accurate cut This is my first circular saw. I cannot make it do a accurate cut on line. The saw is heavy and not well balanced when blade installed, which causing vibration, jumping, and drifting on the work piece. I cannot hold it firmly without using two hands and the saw will drifting to my right side that I have to use another hand to hold it on place but that will prevent me aiming the cut line accurately. It is not recommended for as accurate cut as table saw or miter saw. But I will try something else. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great saw I was really impressed with this saw especially for the price. The tool feels sturdy and like it will hold up for years of use, and was easy to control making cuts. If you need a circular saw and don’t want to spend a ton of money this is a good investment. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
