Compound Dual Bevel Mitre Saw with Laser - 10" - 3800 RPM is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 87.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Professional review Lets start off with the understanding that I am a master carpenter, not Jonny q homeowner. I run a trim company that does high end trim jobs mostly million dollar +homes. This is a professional grade saw is fully capable of custom staircase work. I recently retired my Ridgid 10” slider and sold it to my apprentice after using it for 8 years. Nothing is wrong with the laser, and all the features are great. I saw many reviews saying it can’t be squared, it is just touchy as you have to do it properly or you end up chasing your tail.this saw cuts smooth, and is pinpoint accurate. I own 3 hitachi nailers, a table saw as well. Still solid equipment.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good tool. Great quality for money. I’ve used this saw two or three times since purchasing it. It works very well. Sets up quickly, easy to use. The only complaint I have, and this may be operator error that I will figure out as I use it more, is the vertical angle system does not lock very well. I’ve tried tightening the bolt and pulling harder on the locking bolt, but Stil find it easily slides from my set angle. Again, this may be more my dusky than that of the tool, but if that is the case, it could be more obvious in the instructions. That aside, I love this product and believe it is every bit as good as some of its more expensive counterparts.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Value I bought this saw to replace a Mikita saw, that disappeared! This is a great trim saw. Defiantly takes a bit to get used to all the adjustments, once your past the learning curve you’re good go. Only down side, the motor is soft start - which takes a little getting used. Great machine for trim work. I see deck building guys trying use slide compound miter saws, not the right tool for that job (no slide compound is designed for chopping 2x stock). Slight downgrade from my Makita saw, but still a great saw for the money. I can burn through 4 or 5 of these, before catching up to the cost of a Festool... Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Saw Picked it up a few weeks ago and have loved it ever since. Im a newer woodworker, but am trying to expand, so i needed a better and more powerful saw- this was it. It has the soft-start feature, which takes a little getting used to, but will make it last much longer. I think the previous reviewer doesnt understand why it doesnt start at max RPM, but trust me, it is a good thing for lingevity and takes less than a second. Ive been so impressed with this saw that i have purchased 3 other Hitachi products since. Go get it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great DIY Saw My previous cheap saw brojenwhile doing laminate in my basement. Reviewed for days and decided to buy this saw. Great for the diy, and possibly light commercial use. The blade leaves a clean cut, the 45 & 90 degree cuts were trye roght out of the box. The light is very helpful with lining up the work to be cut. I found the laser to be nice, but a little finicky to adjust as the guard blocks it a little. Overall i am very pleased with it, its built tough, engineered well, and out of the box with a factory blade, its cuts very true and smooth. Definitely recommend this saw to a homeowner or diy’er as i believe it will perform well and its backed by a nice warranty.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from great features, poor accuracy. Im a fine finish carpenter, looking for another 10" miter saw to use in shop. At first glance, this saw offered all the features id been looking for. The older version of this saw is made in japan and its very good. The laser adjustment is very finicky and not easily accessible. The bevel and angle would not sit square, even after adjustment and had major deflection. This is a lower end saw but i didnt expect this much innaccuracy. The dust port is very large but has no boot so the saw dust just sprays everywhere. Really dissapointed as i thought i found a gem. Back to looking again

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Totally Worth It! I bought this saw to replace my broken Craftsman 10” (neighbor dropped and broke it). I was prepping to begin franing out my basement and I was on the fence considering a cheaper model. After talking with my brother, who is in construction, I went with this one. This saw is amazing. The squareness of my cuts, the smooth cutting, and precise lengths I’m getting all crush the performance of my old saw. The dual bevel and sliding fences work great. The low profile slide is a nice feature too for smaller workspaces. I didn’t think I would use the laser much, but it really comes in handy. I also like the slow start up, it doesn’t jar the platform. Great saw!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Buy any number of cheaper, more accurate saws All preset miter positions are off by several tenths of a degree. The wider the stock, the more apparent the error. Impossible to get nice, tight miters. Laser is difficult to setup and, like the rest of the saw, doesn't seem to be accurate. The user manual contains several pages of settings for ceiling molding so Hatachi clearly represents that this saw is an appropriate tool for the job. Using this saw you'd need a lot of caulk to cover the inaccurate cuts. Save yourself some cash and purchase a chop saw. At least it will make accurate 90 and 45 deg cuts.
