Rated 1 out of 5 by from Waste of Money; Not As Advertised I only wish I had the luxury of purchasing the "old" version of this product that everyone is doting on in their reviews. I bought the item at my local Lowe's for a small project only to find it utterly useless. First, this item no longer meets the advertised specifications though it bears the same "MT300" model number. Even my Lowe's receipt says "74451 ARROW 20W GLUE GUN" but the gun itself is clearly labelled "10W". The new gun takes 5/16" diameter sticks, not the 1/4" sized listed in the specifications. This means that you should actually be able to get more glue through the gun, but alas the lower heating capacity makes that impossible. I spent a solid ten minutes with the gun plugged in trying to feed glue sticks through it so I could do a test on the materials I wanted to glue and never got a single drop to dispense. I even gave it a second chance midway through this review to be sure. Both times the gun got plenty hot to the touch, but never dispensed any glue despite consuming the first stick to fill the melting chamber (as the directions advised it would). I'll be returning this heap and buying a different brand from a different retailer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good for most everything I have an older version of the same model MT300 and it has been used for several years on all kinds of school projects. Keep in mind that it is a Low Temp gun so if you need to bond to glass and other non-porous stuff you may need to also get a high temp gun. I have used this on pretty much everything and only recently ran into the issue of having it securely bond a plate to a metal thing. But for 99% of what we have used it for it was fine. The little kick stand is mostly useless because it is not wide enough to hold it upright because of the weight of the cord (maybe the newer version fixed that) but it never really mattered much. We just laid it on it side and it was fine.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great price, works fine. This is good for small arts and crafts glueing. When I first plugged it in, it leaked bad but eventually stopped. The handle is a little too small to hold comfortably, even for my small hands. This gets really hot so be careful. But in the end, good value for the price. Eventually I'll buy a regular size glue gun later in the future for bigger projects though.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent buy I bought this glue gun when I needed to do a couple small things around the house with it. Setup was quick and easy and the gun worked great. Better than what I expected for the price. This is a nice small gun for those quick small fixes or crafts.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Waste of money and time -- don't do it... The feed mechanism is terrible. Trying to transition from one stick to the next is very difficult--even with practice. The gun is SO FLIMSY that it often fails to grab the (recommended) sticks, creating very uneven beads of glue, and wasting the precious time you have to get the glue down and the workpiece on before the glue dries.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does the job The glue gun works well, but tends to leak hot glue from the end when resting. It does not take long to melt the glue, so you can plug it in just a few minutes before use. It is still working well after several years. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love it! Very easy to use and fun for crafts! I used this product for fabrics and other DIYs, and it is a safe, fast-drying product that is easy to use. The small size is also a great plus. My only complaint is for it to heat up faster, but considering all the pros, it weighs out. Also very affordable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent glue gun for small and medium sized projects Gun doesn't get too hot to handle. Small tip is perfect for precise glue jobs but big enough for medium sized projects. Gun has a handy built-in stand which works pretty well (it could be slightly taller). Glue does drip from the gun a bit while it's a rest but never had a glue gun that didn't. This drips less than many i have used. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
