Does the stand come with rollers and length stop?

Asked by: Miter saw
The description, and pictures show the rollers. Not sure about length stop.. That is easy enough to make with a clamp and piece of wood.

Is it ok to leave a miter saw "permanently" attached to this and store it in the upright position for a long time? Trying to save floor space....

Asked by: tpic
you certainly can - and save storage space.

Same question as 'tpic'. Can I leave the mitre saw attached for indefinite period of time?

Will it fit a sliding miter saw with 17" X 17" base holes?

Mitre Saw Stand - Up to 8' - Black and Yellow is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 102.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great stand only needs a tool tray Recently purchased this to mount my Delta 12" sliding miter saw. Love the hydraulic asset, makes a big difference with a heavy saw like the Delta. Only a couple of things I would like to see - a tool tray to keep small tools readily available, and some sort of pad on the foot rest, so when the saw is stored upright it doesn't get scratched, or scratch the floor. I put a piece of styrofoam around it with some tape for now, serves the purpose but not very elegant. Also, no way to get to one of the rail mounting bolts to tighten down one the saw is mounted, but I don't think that will be a big issue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Stand I bought a Dewalt 12" compound miter saw recently. I did not relish the idea of lugging my saw around and using it on a makeshift table so I needed a stand that could be folded up small and moved around easily. This was my Christmas gift from my family. (Nice List!!!!) I just recently had the chance to use this on a small project and I was very pleased. I easily moved my saw around the shop, when I was finished, it collapsed nicely and stowed easily. I like the way that it can stand up right without danger of falling over. It was well worth the money and I am looking forward to getting a lot of use out of it,

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Hs some issues I bought this thinking that moving my miter saw would be much easier. I was right, to a point. Like others have said, there's a problem with folding and unfolding. This is an issue I don't have the back strength to screw with it every time I want to move it. Plus that handle that's screwed up. Dewalt people haven't worked with this or it would have been made better. I'd pay another $20-$30 for something that's worth it. Dewalt needs to start thinking about the customer a little more and not about how they can make a cheap product and charge more for it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Releasing the locking mechanism. As noted in other reviews and based on personal experience with stand you "must" lift up on the handle next to the release mechanism to lower the saw (heavier the saw the more you need to lift, same to lock it up right). The stand will now lower but assist the lowering of the stand. Heavy saws will drop rather quickly & by all means keep fingers out of pinch points. Lubricate the rotating joints occasionally with silicone lubricant but not the stand's cylinder. Use a rag sprayed with silicone to "clean" off the cylinder but try not to get the cylinder seal soaked in lubricant. Had mine for years. Nice not to have to remove saw plus it stands upright in corner of garage out of the way till needed. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1 out of 5 by from new design - not good They changed the design on the supports. They are no longer rollers - now they are static pieces of tubing. Also different height adjustment system. I bought one of these last year and love it. The one I just recently bought with the new (read-cheaper) design is getting returned. Very disappointing. Note to Lowes - you should update your image. It is not longer accurate on this item.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from HEAVY Duty We are stripping the basement down to refinish. I decided that a stand is needed for my Craftsman 10" Compound Sliding Miter Saw. This was my choice. I am not disappointed. I was slightly surprised when the shipping weight was noted at 72lbs!!! Assembly was not hard, it only took me about 45 min (I was in no hurry either). It was simple to attach my saw, the unit as a whole is very solid. I love the cord wrap feature! Tips: When mounting your saw, keep the rail screws just loose enough to move them with a little effort. Once you have everything squared and where you want it, tighten the 4 corners of the rails, if needed remove the saw to tighten the 2 middle screws (I had enough clearance under mine this was not needed). I look forward to putting this to good use, and would highly recommend it. Great quality for the price!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great gift from the wife Got this for valentines day. Can't believe my wife picked it out for me. Great job honey! Not too much to the assembly but the instructions could have been better illustrated. This is very well built and sturdy. Easy to stand up and collapse. I would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting to mount a miter saw.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice stand, but with one frustrating design flaw This stand is very nice for all the reasons written in other reviews, but I wouldn't have bought it if I knew about one poorly designed component. The two roller extension supports will not stay in position unless you really crank down on the locking knobs, and I mean crank down HARD. The locks consists of expanding wedge-like pieces inside the support tubes, the extension held at height by friction only. But the extensions will slip unless the knobs are tight, tight, tight. The small size of the knobs make tightening sufficiently difficult at the outset, but what really concerns me is that so much pressure must be applied to get enough holding friction inside the tube that the threads might strip. (I found out how much tightening had to be done after messing up a couple cuts when the extensions, which I thought were tightened sufficiently, slipped down without me knowing it when cutting long 2x4s.)
