Rated 4 out of 5 by from Weber Grillin! Excellent service today when I made my Weber Grill purchase....I came home immediately assembled it (took me 20 minutes), and bbq'd...good grilling area, retained heat and the food turned out well. My only peeve was I had to bend and watch the catch hook on the lid, but it just wouldn't grab...other than that...All Good!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very satisfied I have just purchased my Weber after cooking on a gas grill for 11 yrs. I love this Weber, the flavor with a charchol grill is so much better, the food is so much moister and you can control your heat so much better. I have also purchased the cover and tool holder. I plan on using my new gril often. Very Satisfied!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Still The Same Years earlier I owned a kettle. Many great meals were prepared with that old one. I got modern and went to gas grills, but was never satisfied. Upon purchasing the new 22" original kettle, I couldnt help but notice that there were changes. The 3 daisy wheels were replaced by a scraper/damper system. The wooden handle was now thermoplastic. The legs inserted in a different fashion. But I can assure you of one thing. The grill itself still cooks the same great food! Never going back to cheap gas grills again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Okay Replacement Although I like this WEBER replacement for the one I had of same size for many, many years, it doesn't appear to be built of the same quality as my previous Weber grills. The interior brackets holding the grill, as well as the more flimsy material used for the grill itself leaves much to be desired; it doesn't sit well and is easily misplaced during grilling. Apparently WEBER has gone the way-of-the-world and skimmed on thickness of materials, etc. That said, WEBER is still my choice for grills...

Rated 1 out of 5 by from typical Weber - parts missing Bought the One-Touch Weber as a gift for my son and his new home. We set it up Sunday for Mothers' Day Cookout, and there were parts missing, even though it was a sealed box. Part that was missing was the #1 leaf shaped metal element that sweeps ashes and seals one of the holes at the bottom of the grill to smother the fire and preserve the remaining charcoal. Bought a similar Weber about 25 years ago from Builders' Square in North Versailles, PA and similar parts were missing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Old School Champ I had one of these a 35 years ago and used it for close to 15 before upgrading. I've got a gas grill and smoker as well, but this one fits the bill for great and simple grill performance. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cooks anything much better than big box gas grills I have a big box gas grill I use when I don't have time to get charcoal going, but with a charcoal metal pipe starter, it's pretty easy to get charcoal going. I actually used webers years ago but then go the big box gas grill - it was easy but everything I cooked was overdone or underdone. The webers shape and your ability to control the air flow makes it the best cooker by far, makes all of your food taste so much better sometimes I decide NOT to cook out if I don't have time to use the Weber.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Charcoal Grill Very unhappy with my new Webber.I remember the Webber I had 25or 30 years ago. Now that was a grill. The material in this grill is much lighter and cheaper. Also, the cover doesn't fit properly. I could have bought a competitor grill for half the money and been equally as happy but I bought it for the name and I am now sorry for that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Why Settle with anything else!! I went from a $20 grill to this, and what a difference, just amazing!!! Super easy to assemble, and solid! you can really tell it has great air flow, the charcoal glows more than it ever did in my old grill!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best standard charcoal grill ever! No frills, nothing you don't need. Just an awesome charcoal grill. Can't beat it for the price. My ex-father in law borrowed and kept my first one that I had for years. I bought another, had it for a few years, then my dog kept knocking it over and mis-shaped it so the lid didn't fit. I bought a third one. I still have it, however a tree fell on my deck last year and bent the leg holes a little. It still functions perfectly, just leans a little. I'll probably buy another when it's time!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from missing a part Love the grill, but it was missing the very last part we needed, the inside of the now we have to take the time to figure out how to get a new one - probably call Lowes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Can't go wrong with a Weber Kettle! I bought a Weber Kettle in 1978 and have been grilling on it until last week, when we got the new one. There was nothing wrong with the old one as it still grilled and smoked as well as it did from the start. The new one has a better damper and ash removal system but, other than that, is just like the old one. I do keep a cover over it to protect it from the weather and anticipate it will last a long time and provide a lot of delicious smoked meats and fish just like its predecessor!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Happy and Upset I purchased this grill got it home opened the box on the grill bottom the handle was bent in the shape of an M. I straightened it out with a sheet metal tool. I begin assembling the grill and quickly found it had two front legs and one rear leg . At first I was ticked bad. But I really wanted those Spanish spiced porterhouse steaks! So, I cut off one of the front legs about 3 " and flattened one end and drilled a hole for the axel. It cooked up some fine steaks!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A Classic with Classic issues Owned one of these for 10 years before buying a new one. Love the simplicity and heat circulation. Materials of the bowl and lid are good. The legs and wheels should be thrown down a deep hole and covered in thick goo so they never see the light of day. After years of struggling with the support structure breaking, I threw it all away and remounted the grill on a wrought iron planting stand. Now it is higher and much more stable. I am happy after performing this lifehack.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great flavor I bought this grill as an addition to the natural gas Weber grill we have had for many years. I missed the charcoal flavor. This original grill is easy to use but I haven't yet used enough charcoal. I am using natural charcoal not briquettes and can't get it through my head that you have to use substantially more due to the irregular shape. I do wish Weber made a high quality hinged grate for this grill to make it easier to add more charcoal during cooking.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Charcoal is renewable. My 22" kettle is my buddy during the weekend and some days of the week. I use the chimney starter to get everything going, and get all the vegetables and bread ready to toss on when the time is right. Sometimes I sous vide the meat prior to grilling, but my 25 year old Weber usually knows how to do the rest. I recently got a grill pad to place on the grill, so asparagus won't fall through. The grill accessories from Weber are really perfect for this as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from grill has lost a feature since the last time I miss the cool handle on the grill lid for the top vent. I really wanted to justify buying the red kettle model but it was cheaper to buy this one and get a few extra's to make it as nice, bought the charcoal briquet holders (mine were about 20 years old) and the hinged cooking grates. I had a meat thermometer. My old grill cooked hotter on one side. So far I'm not having this problem. I think it may have been the surface I had the old grill on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good solid purchase The basic Weber grill costs about twice what the cheaper, 'Aussie' unit costs, but is easily worth the difference. When the cooking surfaces wears out, and the way I use them, it will, I will, as in the past, replace it with the slightly more expensive cooking surface that has hinges to allow easy addition of briquettes and wood chunks. That allows longer smoking without having to actually lift the cooking surface and risk rolling the meat out on the ground for the dogs to enjoy. These units can cook almost any BBQ item well, except Brisket or Pork Shoulder. I honestly think I get better ribs and smoked whole chickens from my Weber Grills than I do from my big heavy offset smoker. I have cooked many good turkeys on a Weber, but since I got the offset smoker, I would rather use the smoker for turkeys. The metal is definitely thinner than they were back in 1979 when I bought unit #1, but about the same as they were back in 2000 when I bought unit #2, which is still in use.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I love my Kettle I received the 22” kettle as a Father’s Day gift from my wife in 2018. I love the grill and it’s performance, and how easy it is to use. There are only two items I would change that just for ease of use. 1. I would have the wing racks included with every grill, I love to smoke on mine. 2. I would include a second handle on the kettle for when moving is required. Outside of that I love it and wouldn’t trade it for the world.
