chain oil leaking
I bought the PPB4014 about a year ago and just now got a chance to use it. Filled it with chain oil and used it to cut a couple small limbs. After it set in my shop for a few days all the oil leaked out. I then found out it never was getting oil to the chain bar. Something must have come loose inside to let all the oil leak out. I am not having any luck getting help. Next time I will test out the product good before letting the warranty go out. Now I am trying to find a service center to see if it is worth fixing. I am not happy.

This is a great saw and I love it
I purchased this saw about a month ago and love it so much. Upon receiving the saw I put it to use cutting down bushes around my home and then trimming limbs also and the unit worked perfectly for me. Before buying this saw I had already purchased a Poulan Pro weed trimmer and it worked so fine until I decided to buy the saw as well since they both use the same size 40 volt battery. I highly recommend this product for those who live in a rural area and don't really use a saw regularly.

really good saw
I own 2 acres of land of which I let 1 acre get overgrown with saplings, small trees, and excessive branches on mature trees. There were also 9 mature trees that I cut down several years ago with a gas saw. I got this one because I figured it would be handy with cutting branches. It is. The battery goes dead quickly when making cuts on trunks of 10" or more. But on smaller stuff it is awesome! Very lightweight which is nice and the battery means not fussing with gas and carburetors, etc. I took a bucket truck home from work 3 evenings and cut small limbs for 1.5 hours each evening. I started each evening with a full battery and never had to change it. Conversely, I had a fallen tree with 8" limbs and with a fresh battery I made 17 cuts before the battery died. I had a 25' dogwood tree in the driveway area that got ants into it and I cut it down, 12" trunk, cut and processed all of the branches, cut the trunk into firewood length sections to be split in 1 hour. I have a second battery and it took both batteries, but that is pretty darn great.
Overall, I think this is a great saw (if it holds up over time) for what it is. For small branches and small trees it is a game changer. I sharpen the chain before each use. I keep the oil filled. I always have a battery on the charger. I bought the matching weedeater to get an extra battery.
