PRO-11 Measuring Tape - 1.25'' x 16' - Red and Black is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 14.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible. I've always liked and used Craftsman tools. But their tape measures are terrible. It is comfortable in your hand, bUT that is the ONLY positive comment. The tape is very flimsy, and won't stand out more than about 4' workout twisting and bending. This particular unit is supposed to be an auto lock blade. But it slowly creeps closed and will not lock in place. A contractor I work with purchased the more expensive 35' unit for measuring siding and windows. I thought he was gonna throw it in the trash before he left my house. He was constantly complaining the whole time he used it. Forget it. Don't buy it. But a Stanley. I WILL be replacing mine soon. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Handiest All-around Size I own many tape measures. This Craftsman 16ft is one of my favorites. It is not so huge and clunky that it drags your pants down to plumber butt territory when you hook it on a pocket. It fits comfortably in a hand. It is up to the majority of carpentry tasks that involve cutting lumber 12 ft or less. The locking mechanism actually locks and STAYS locked (unlike my other Stanley auto-lock tape). No problems retracting. It retracts with such force that you have to be careful that it doesn't hit your thumb. The white tape is easy on the eyes. The red exterior looks great. I've dropped mine on many occasions with no ill effects thanks to the rubber bumpers. I have 30 and 25 ft tapes for measuring rooms, but otherwise they sit and gather saw dust as this Craftsman 16 ft. has become my go-to tape measure. Rated 2 out of 5 by from Very Poorly Made I bought this tape measure specifically to check the height of basketball rims, but it is worthless for the task. The tape material is too flimsy to hold its shape. I have other tape measures that will stick 10 feet in the air with no problem and hold their shape. The locking mechanism will not hold to tape still. It constantly slips a little,m making your careful measurement worthless. I buy Craftsman for quality, not poorly made products.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Old reliable, only red I lost my 16’ Stanley Fatmax on a jobsite one Friday and realized it was gone upon my return Monday morning. So I’m off to Lowe’s to get a new one only to find out that they have none. But they do have this one that looks and feels an awful lot like my missing tape. As I was pretty sure it was just a rebranded FaxMax (and having two Craftsman sawhorses at home that are clearly just the Dewalt/Stanley horses in red with different logos that I picked up BECAUSE they weren’t going to be mistakenly picked up by another contractor) I decided to give it a shot. Over the last three weeks it hasn’t disappointed, the stand out is the same as my old tape (I need the stand out while running crown), it retracts as it should, and it has put up with my abuses being dropped or knocked off my belt. And no one picks it up thinking it’s their tape. I’d buy another in a heartbeat.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It's not a Fat Max 11' stand off is a joke. Tape is too thin, twisted and warped after a few uses. Looked like a less expensive Fat Max, but far from it. Probably ok for random home use, not for daily on the job use. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sturdy Tape Measure Bought this because, can just never have enough tape measures, and it had a nice heft to it. It performs as it should and was a decent price. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good tape measure This tape measure works really well but the end tab is a little short making it difficult to pull tape measure out and hard to hold on end of project. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Craftsman Tape Measure Great tape measure at a reasonabke price. This tape measure has excellent stand out, and the white color makes it easy to read measurements [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
