Rated 1 out of 5 by from No low heat setting I’m always used Coleman stoves for my camping trips since my parents took me camping. I purchase this stove to replace another one that way damaged. The stove cooks way too HOT and when you try to turn down the burner, it won’t stay at the level and usually will turn off or move back to high. For the price you would assume that the designers would of tested this stove at different cooking levels. Completely useless if your trying to cook at a lower heat level, wish that I still had my old stove, very disappointed in this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Stove This is a fantastic stove. Yes it gets hot but you have to use cast iron on it. I use this stove for making coffee and cooking breakfast on a cast iron skillet which spreads out the heat. I have never overcooked anything on this. 1 can of fuel lasted 3 days. The Large Stove Carry Case will hold this; it is part number 2000020971....if you use any cookware that is aluminum or pot metal you will hate this....use cast iron and you won't go wrong.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Excellent but one major flaw Plastic knobs a major flaw, they strip very easily. On my first camping trip with new stove, the plastic teeth which grip the spindle stripped and I was left with one burner. Very frustrating as otherwise excellent product compromised by cheap fittings.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Really potent stove Pros: 1/More than enough power to boil water fast 2/Good look 3/Big enough for 2 big pans 4/Overall quality is good 5/Flame is very stable Cons: 1/a bit hard to control on the low setting 2/igniter is a bit scary to use, i use a lighter instead. Takes up to 3 push to start - by that time propane burst into flame... 3/When you stop it, it makes a rather loud pop when the flame goes out. 4/I would have like a flexible propane connector instead of the hard brass one included. The stove is rather large and having the propane bottle dangling on its side is not that practical. 5/A bit expensive for what it is. Read some reviews about loose latches, mine is tight. The worst thing is the igniter which i find annoying to use, but overall, when i cook on this stove, it is pretty much like cooking at home. I use the stove so far more than 4 weeks in a row as we are renovating the kitchen.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from nice stove I have used Colman stoves for the past 15 years camping and decided to upgrade to the galdiator. After reading reviews, i was nervous that it would not work well. I used it last weekend to make philly cheese steaks and it performed well, the gas adjustment was fine and due to the high btu, and thats why I bought it, high BTU for faster cooking, you have to use cast iron or heavy stainless steel pans with a heavy bottom. Thin pans probably will not work well. I go camping sept 27th, this will be the test, but, so far so good.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Gladiator Brand new,out-of-the-box , its first camping trip. The Coleman gladiator ,burned everything, not me! I was unable to regulate heat .It would not allow me to adjust the flame down ,unless I held it in place . It seemed the knobs would spring back toward hot ,not allowing it to be on a slower setting ! Second camping trip ,it simmered down a bit and now able to regulate ! . Works fantastic! I've owned it eight months ,looking forward to another 10 years!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Coleman stove After using it once the igniter does not work ,when you put a pan on the stove there is a howling noise so if you are in a camp site you would wake everyone up in the morning.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Flawed Design The grip in the temperature control knobs strip very easily. After just two uses, I found myself stuck at a remote campsite with no way to cook because BOTH knobs came off. I put them back on but the grip was completely stripped, so they just spun on the metal underneath. This is a serious design flaw. You would have read enough about poor temperature control, so I won't elaborate on those comments except to say that I concur.
