Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Sander! Bought this to replace existing old Makita small sheet sander. It was an instant improvement. Very little dust and does the job in half the time. Larger dust port fits well with my Shop Vac, but so far have not needed it. The included dust bag has done it's job so far. Have used it for large projects to small soft wood with no issues. I would definitely recommend this product. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product I went to the store to buy the Dewalt equivalent to this Craftsman model. I literally could not find any difference other than the Dewalt came with a tote bag and cost $10 more. I could care less about the bag so I saved $10 by buying the Craftsman. Incredible tool. I'm well aware that Dewalt and Craftsman are owned by the same company, so saving money only made sense to me. Don't hesitate about getting this sander. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best value I am a cabinetmaker, so I use this tool every day. It was a top choice by fine Woodworking magazine, so when my porter cable finally died I chose the craftsman, even though I never buy that brand. Attached to a shopvac, it cuts faster with less dust than my previous- and more expensive- porter cable and Bosch sanders. Handles well, switch a little awkward, comfortable. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Buy Almost all of my power tools are DeWalt and I have had good luck with them. I went to the store to replace an old B&D orbital sander that shredded it’s hook and loop pad, and I planned on buying the DeWalt. This model was right next to it and is identical in almost every way, for $10 less. I don’t mean like cheap tool stores show you the specs side by side, this actually IS the same sander. The parts are obviously all the same. This thing is actually made of the same parts in the same factory. Overall it is comfortable to hold, has good power, the dust collector stays on well and locks in place, but it is a little loud. Vibration is well absorbed, and it just feels like a solid unit. I expect it to last with my occasionally heavy use. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not great but OK! Did most jobs I needed it for. Seems to be a solidly made sander which I hope to get years of use out of. Like the sealed switch design. If I buy another orbital sander in the future I will buy one with the variable speed. I have not used it with my shop vacuum but think it would have been nice to include a universal hose adapter. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Commercial Grade? YES! I push my palm sander to its mechanical limits for work in daily usage. It's typical that I'll need to replace it once every year or two due to it breaking down under long-term heavy duty usage. I've only ever opted to purchase the most expensive brands for my shop in the past. This year, when it came time to replace a broken sander, I nervously opted for the inexpensive CRAFTSMAN. I've been using it under extreme conditions (long hours of use, countless on and offs, heavy pressure bearing down) and I have been very impressed with the CRAFTSMAN's performance. It has been just as good as, if not better than, the expensive brands I've used in the past and 30 to 40% less cost to boot. I will definitely be using this CRAFTSMAN in the future for my business needs. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Error in description. Good overall tool. Comfortable to hold and does not vibrate your hand to death. The dust bag worked pretty good but in their Sears provided description it says "connection to 1-1/4-in vac hose" and the reality is that the connection is for 1-3/4" ID hose or 1-1/2" OD hose. I stuck my Rigid 1-1/4" OD hose coupler in and wrapped it in 2" blue tape. I am looking at a 1.25 Inch Vacuum Hose Repair Cuff to make an adapter. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent sander! This is a great sander! I bought it after having a terrible experience trying to sand a few tables with a belt sander. I was finished with all 3 tables in about 30 minutes. Everything came out perfectly and I’m excited to take on new projects with it! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
