where is the water supply source? Does this not require a tank, just a water line?

Asked by: oldfart
Yup just requires a water source and electrical power. Easiest thing to do to connect to it is to take off the water inlet hose and take it to a plumbing shop and ask them what you need to connect from your house water supply to that hose and your set. Same applies for the waste line just take measurements of what you are tying into. 1 inch hose was pretty easy to acquire at the plumbing shop. 1 length of 1 inch pipe and 4 45 degree elbows some glue for that pipe and a saw and it took me about 2 hours

Are there installation instructions on line?

It comes with installation instructions. We had a plumber hook it up. It was quite simple.

Can a vent be added to this unit as per the Ontario Building Code?

Asked by: Alexson
The discharge from this unit is a forcemain and as such should not need to be vented (in fact probably will not work if vented). If the unit is also used to drain a sink, the sink should be vented as per OBC before the toilet connection.

Can this toilet be put in a garage? Just thinking of garden parties where I don't want guests going into my house to use the facilities.

Asked by: ErikaC
You can put it in the garage, but you do not want it to freeze.

do you need a check valve for discharge if so is it bought seperate

Asked by: interested 1
I has a check valve included. I have had one in my hangar now for 1.5 years and it works great! I pumps almost 90 feet to the septic tank no problem.

So I need a tank with it. My pipes need to run about 100ft from tiny house to main sewage line. Do you have a manual

Asked by: Carolyn 232
Manuals are available at saniflo.ca in the support sections. Find your model, tap on it then tap download.

Do you have to purchase the tank separately?

Asked by: Marggie
No there is no tank. Its combined within the toilet so that it can be installed in small locations

Round Front Toilet Bowl, White is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 20.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid well constructed unit Assembly and installation is reasonably straight forward. You likely won't find wide radius elbows for the plumbing in the plumbing section. Go the electrical department and get the grey PVC conduit. Large radius 90s and 45s are generally available there and while it's not as pretty as the white stuff in plumbing it's schedule 40 PVC and will work just as well. I had trouble finding a 3/8" compression nut that would fit over the fitting on the end of the supply line. Be persistent. Brass nuts are more likely to fit than chrome plated. This is quite the addition to my 1871 farmhouse.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent Product! BUT.... We had this installed by an accredited plumber. Installation went smoothly. Just follow Saniflo's instructions. We turned it on with a little trepidation - but it worked like a charm "for a week". About a week after installation, we tried to use it and it tripped the GFI breaker. We followed "all" logical steps to get it going again, to no avail. From what we've read, it's likely a defect in the pressure chamber - which would need a whole new replacement. As it's the long weekend, we can't call Saniflo until tomorrow. We'll see how their customer service is then. Once we get this all sorted out, we'll come back and add to this review - hopefully changing the "stars" to 5.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Saniflo Compact is not well made Read reviews prior to purchase and saw some comments about cheap pipes and broken on arrival. While very well packaged, the unit arrived with a broken pipe. Upon looking closely at design, became worried about how the unit would perform in the future. We decided to purchase Saniflo Saniaccess2. That unit looks much better, even though it is three pieces versus one and a slightly larger footprint. We feel that it was a better purchase than the Compact. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very practical solution It is way too early to talk about this toilet just now. I will see over the time if it is so good product as it looks to be now. Design, look, practicality and overall use is just excellent but a big question is, how it is going to work a year, two, five or ten years down the road...Toilet was just installed in what used to be laundry room in condo. After reno, the owner has powder room with vanity on the top of originally only oversized laundry room. Big relief for family with previously only one full bathroom.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product Great for retrofits. Beats digging out your cement basement floor for an additional powder room. Make sure your newly installed inlet water line is cleared of debris before hook up as there is a fine filter inside which can easily get clogged up. Only down side was that shipping was awkward.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth the money Great guest toilet downstairs. Fits space well, L shaped room approximately 5 1/2’ x 3’. Easy to follow instructions for toilet installation. Seat tricky to put in exact location; had to redo numerous times. Connected to sink, works very well. Wife is cleaning lady and has seen many types of toilets; says this one looks smart and clean, flushes fairly well but sometimes needs second flush. Happy with overall results.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does the Job Excellent product. Couple of comments for installation. The water input hose is metric. To fit your 3/8's inch ferryl, you will need an adapter OR sand it down slightly. All piping and fittings can be purchased at Rona. Congrats to Rona being the ONLY big box store to carry these odd pipe sizes. Only negative is pump will come on at any time which can be a bit weird.
