Rated 5 out of 5 by from Don't waste money on anything else I did a lot of research and looked at many models before finally buying this saw. I spent more than I had planned but am very glad I did. I looked at the ridgid, delta, kobalt, porter cable, rockwell, masterforce, Performax and craftsman portable table saws while shopping around and all of them had poor fences, and some were useless. What's the point of a table saw if the fence doesnt consistently lock down straight. Dewalts rack and pinion system far surpasses any other manufacturers fence system. Also many of the other mentioned brands use plastic gears for the blade height adjustments. To top it off dewalt has has the largest rip capacity.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from One thing missing - I have been using this saw fro a few months now. I love it. Fence is always dead on accurate and so fast to set up its amazing how well thought out everything is. JUST ONE THING MISSING. Electronic power switching keeps you from plugging in a saw that already has the power on. This means you can not lock it in the on position to power it from a power strip that also powers the dust collection. I use a shop vac that just sits under the saw but its a bit annoying to have to feel around for the switch on the vac. I like the electronic power switch, its a no-brainer safety thing, but why not include an aux plug that is powered by the same switch so my vac starts when I power the saw.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from dewalt table saw I haven't put this through the full test yet, only made some test cuts to check blade alignment (all was good right out of the box). it does seem to be a very good quality saw. I really like the rack & pinion fence adjustment and the dust port. the adjustments for blade height and angle work very smoothly, and the angle adjustment locks in place very firmly. a few people complained about the miter slot being loose, but mine seems to be very snug. at least it's a standard size, so I will be able to upgrade whenever I feel the need to. I plan to put it through it's paces this weekend, and maybe I can do a better review later.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great buy I have just purchased this saw and I'm really pleased. Assembly took about an hour including the table but was realitivly simple. I did not need to make any adjustments. Storage of the tools took some time to figure out. I am only a novice at this but I have found it easy to use and it cuts great. I really like the fence which makes accurate straight cuts easy and quickly. I have cut various pieces of wood and it cut through easily. I would recommend this saw to anyone. Only down side is the price, even though I got it on sale it's still expensive. All my tools are Dewalt and they are all worth the extra cost.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Saw, But . . . . I've had my saw for about 5 years and it's held up well. My only complaints are that it won't take dado blades (they really should put that somewhere other than in the direction booklet, which you can't read until you open the box#, and that I cannot tilt the blade to cut at 45 degrees. The best I can get is around 43.7. #I checked it with a digital angle meter) At first this wasn't a big deal because I was a new woodworker, but my skills have improved to the point where I want to use dados and make accurate angled cuts. So I'm looking to buy a new saw, other than a DeWalt. It's really a shame about the poor angle cuts because I can work around not having dadoes. But 45-degree angles? No so much.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Table is not flat Bought this table saw two months ago. Set up was not hard, I like the stand, fence is solid, and overall this is a powerful and solid table saw. The problem is that the surface of table is not flat! There is no way a perfect cut can be made with this saw despite everything else being excellent. I took some pictures to show the issue. I really like the saw, but plan to return it to Lowes's as this is a manufacturing defect and has been reported several times. I also reported this issue to DEWALT Customer support and I hope to hear from them.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from DeWalt should work more on quality I've bought the saw at Lowe's website & the product was delivered to me in time, it took for me about an hour to figure out how to assemble and to put together the product. However I was very upset that after further inspection I found that one side of the table was sagged about 1/8" - it is a huge out-of-flat defect and if DeWalt has at least some kind of quality control, the unit like this shouldn't leave factory gates. I had to go to Lowes for exchange but could someone imagine my frustration that the new unit has similar defect only this time the center part of the table is noticeably raised above other surface. Really? Now I think that my problems describe the common DeWalt trend of ignoring quality of their products in sake of profit,

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Highly recommended I have not used a decent table saw since I was a framer many, many years ago. I did own a cheap inaccurate saw for awhile. What a pain. I just completed repurposing an old entertainment center into a more modern TV stand using this saw. It cut everything with ease, completely accurately, resulting in much less fanagling than using a circ saw as I had been doing. The saw was slightly off out of the box, but adjustments were simple to make and the scale is now 100% accurate. I am glad I opted for this saw, rather than the slightly less powerful 745. My only regret is that it doesn't have dado capacity, but my router takes care of that and to get an equivalent saw with dado would have been an extra couple hundred bucks. I highly recommend this saw.
