Top-Handle Jig Saw - 20 mm

The Bosch JS260 Top-Handle Jig Saw provides a sturdy footplate for accuracy in the cut, as well as a 6.0-A motor and variable-speed control. The sturdy motor produces up to 3,100 strokes per minute, with a 3/4" stroke length. The variable-speed dial controls the maximum speed, while the accelerator trigger regulates the operating speed. This jig saw is engineered with a low-vibration plunging design for cutting accuracy and smooth operation. It has a large heavy-gauge steel footplate. The JS260's multidirectional blade clamp delivers the superior grip of T-shank blades (but it does not accept U-shank blades). The toolless T-shank blade-change system makes blade insertion and removal quick. The tool has an always-on dust blower for max cut-line visibility and an ambidextrous lock-on button. Precision-machined plunging mechanism and low-vibration design delivers enhanced accuracy and extremely smooth operation. Its ergonomic top handle and two-finger trigger allows for a solid, comfortable grip and its heavy-gauge steel footplate provides more sturdiness.

Top-Handle Jig Saw - 20 mm is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 48.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from this is the one for DIY'rs..excellent buy having been in the trades for years(specifically interioir trim carpenter) i found that bosch,porter-cable, DeWalt all are good tools, but this particular amp rating with the cost of purchase and features is by far the way to go for the average DIY guy doing weekend or even pro contract projects. what to say??..hey, its a great tool that does exactly wht its supposed to. low vibration, good power through some tough lumber, good steady control on curved cuts, quick blade exchange, etc. etc. all in all, for the price range Bosch has a home run. highly recommended.cheaper than deWalt, same quality, great bbuy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from If you need to cut Hardie Board Siding... I have built a few homes in the past. Now I'm building my retirement home and have always wanted a mid-century style house which will have Hardie Board lap siding. Every body says, "cut it with a skill-saw, get the special blade or use a razor knife to score and break the pieces". For my money use a jig saw with a great blade, medium speed, and the middle setting on the wobble is the best way to go. Many tools of mine were stolen a few years back so I'm replacing them as needed. This saw works as good as any do-it-yourselfer could ever need. price is right and I was very surprised at the quality bag provided for storage. Also the vibration to your hands is very minimal.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice saw! I purchased this in the store about a month ago, on sale. Nice saw so far. Low vibration and easy to hold and control. Makes nice cuts and the motor seems to handle the soft woods with ease (have not tried it on any hardwoods so far). I really like the blade changing. It's very easy and quick, no tools required. Just insert the blade and it snaps right in. To remove the blade simply push the keeper and the blade pops right out! Very easy and convienent! Comes with a nice soft carry case with a place for the instructions and room enough for the Bosch Hard carry case you get free when purchasing the Bosch 18-Piece Multi-Purpose T-Shank Jig Saw Blade kit. I have several Bosch tools and really think they are high quality! Nice jig saw for the price, especially when it's on sale!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Jigsaw I have already recommended this jigsaw to my friends. This is a quality tool at a price the average handyman can afford. I appreciate its low vibration, smooth operation and jor a jigsaw quiet motor. You could save a few dollars and purchase a Black and Decker or Skill, but after having grown up using those products I can truly say its worth the nominal cost to upgrade to this Bosch I would rate myself as having a intermediate skill level as I actively work with wood, but dont do it as a full time job.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Value My old jigsaw finally died. I have been shopping - looking for a sale. I have always heard good things about Bosch. When I saw 6 amps for under $80, I bought one and went home to complete a project, cutting curved ends on pergola cross beams. I almost had to pull back to slow the thing down. It went through 2x8 treated lumber like butter, and the cuts were clean. I am looking for more jigsaw projects just to use this thing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good, That Could be Great Being Bosch, it has excellent craftsmanship in manufacture. This jigsaw also operates buttery smooth, and has plenty of power. There are areas for improvement that would make it great. The scale underneath for adjusting the base for bevel cuts is nearly invisible; you cannot see the cut you're making unless you lean down to the side of the saw to look underneath it while operating; and the base doesn't accommodate a guide fence. Otherwise, it would be five stars. Excellent power and operation smoothness for the money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great saw with very low vibration I just cut a kitchen sink hole in a 2 inch thick pick of wood and it cut smooth and with little effort. There is a small wheel "guide" that holds the blade in place which apparently helps reduce vibrations to the point of being of no concern. Easy to round corners and/or go straight. Bosch make high quality items. I have several of their tools and have never had an issue with quality. Cheers to all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bosch 6 Amp Jigsaw Solidly built saw, you can feel the quality in the hefty weight of the saw. Cuts through the hardest wood like butter, and doesn't bind when making sharp cuts in the stock.
